Cookie Policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
SteamCards.Trade uses as few cookies as possible. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, and no third-party tracking.
1. What cookies and similar storage are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We also use your browser’s local storage, which works in a similar way. In this policy “cookies” covers both.
2. What we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Category | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| s | Cookie | Signed session that keeps you signed in after Steam login. HttpOnly. | Necessary | 30 days |
| st | Cookie | Random value that protects the Steam sign-in against forged requests. HttpOnly. | Necessary | Minutes (deleted after sign-in) |
| sct_consent | Cookie | Remembers your cookie choice. | Necessary | 12 months |
| theme | Local storage | Your light or dark theme. | Preferences | Until you clear it |
| setsPageSize | Local storage | How many card sets you see per page. | Preferences | Until you clear it |
| invPrefs | Local storage | Your inventory layout, filters and sorting. | Preferences | Until you clear it |
3. Strictly necessary
The session cookie, the login-state cookie and the record of your cookie choice are strictly necessary: the site cannot work or stay secure without them, so they are set without asking for consent.
4. Preferences (only with your consent)
Theme (light or dark), the number of sets per page and your inventory layout are saved in your browser’s local storage only if you click “Accept preferences” (or switch Preferences on in “Customize”). If you choose “Only necessary”, nothing about your preferences is stored and anything stored earlier is deleted.
5. Third parties
We do not place third-party cookies. When you sign in, steamcommunity.com sets its own cookies under Valve’s policies. Game and item images are loaded from Steam’s content delivery networks, which see your IP address when your browser requests them.
6. Your choices
You can change your decision at any time with Cookie settings, here or in the footer of any page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, but you will need to sign in again.
